Kelli's Gift Shop Suppliers is seeking highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor to supervise the operations of our second shift. Kelli’s is a family owned, wholesale distributor, providing exceptional customer service and product to gift shops. HOURS - 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
- The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities of the second shift employees performing the following activities: Replenishments, put-a-ways, moves and re-warehousing.
- This position works with minimal supervision so the person must be a leader with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ensure all receipts from that day are put away and all replenishments are completed utilizing the existing staff.
- Ensure all employees on the shift are following established procedures, manage performance, and present corrective action as needed.
- Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse functions with the activities of other departments, such as day shift, purchasing and production.
- Evaluate problems that arise during the shift and take appropriate action to allow employees to complete their work.
- Organize workforce to maximize productivity and set goals and expectations for the shift, the week, and the
- Train employees on company policies and procedures.
- Manage the safety on the shift to ensure no accidents or injuries occur. If needed, conduct safety investigations regarding work related incidents and injuries.
- Analyze and communicate warehouse productivity and goals to both the employees and to your direct supervisor.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are met and warehouse is maintained in neat and organized manner.
- Ensure security of the facility is maintained during the shift and secure the building at end of shift.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma.
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse supervision experience.
- Experience with a WMS (warehouse management system) a plus.
- Ability to effectively manage a staff of 10-15 non-exempt employees.
- Should possess familiarity with warehouse equipment and have an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Flexibility to work off-shift hours, including days and/or weekends.
- Ability to write performance reviews, recommending performance improvement plans where necessary and ability to establish and communicate department goals, objectives and processes with employees.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure, possessing an exceptional sense of urgency.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, troubleshoot issues, schedule, organize, coordinate, train, and prepare operating procedures with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Move product, supplies, and boxes up to and over 75 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity-near and far, depth perception, field of vision, color vision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
