The role

The Treatment Plan Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to facilitate a seamless in-office experience for all dntl bar patients. The Treatment Plan Coordinator is part of the store leadership team, working closely with the Dental Office Manager to ensure all patients understand their treatment plan, the benefits of moving forward with treatment, insurance benefits, and different payment plan options.

The Treatment Plan Coordinator reports to the Dental Office Manager

Compensation Range: $25 -$30 hourly + quarterly bonus potential.

Essential functions/responsibilities

    • Prepare and present treatment plans and estimated financial investments to patients associated with the recommended treatment
    • Schedule patient treatment appointments
    • Manage recall schedule to ensure patients are scheduling and/or rescheduling treatment appointments
    • Support operational staff (CRs and Dental Office Manager) with day-to-day, supervisory tasks
    • Manage dntl bar's Associate and hygiene schedules to achieve utilization targets through efficient use of appointment time
    • Collaborate with both clinical & operational teams to effectively manage daily patient flow and provide communication and information to the appropriate individuals
    • Assist patients with financial arrangements
    • Manage all treatment paperwork including consent, policy, and check-out forms
    • Effectively communicate and develop a strong working relationship with dntl bar's Associates and promote teamwork, collaboration, and professionalism within the office
    • Adhere to confidentiality, State, Federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regard to patient records
    • Follow and demonstrate commitment to dntl bar’s professional expectations and Service Excellence Standards
    • Must be able/willing to perform all Customer Representative and Shift Supervisor duties and responsibilities
    • Additional ad-hoc responsibilities, as needed

Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Previous dental industry experience with a strong knowledge of dental insurance and dental procedures
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
    • Ability to demonstrate patience and empathy - the ability to "see" the patient in front of you
    • Motivating team player and leader
    • Proficient in basic math, so to better understand general ledger and insurance benefits
    • Proficient in basic computer applications with the ability to learn new software
