LIFE SCIENCES SEGMENT SALES MANAGER – Eastern U.S. (Remote)

SUMMARY: We are looking for a dynamic Life Sciences Segment Sales Manager based in the Eastern U.S to work remotely. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Clean Process & Industrial Product Segment Sales, Camfil U.S.A.

As the Life Sciences Segment Sales Manager, you will use your technical business development abilities to develop and implement a sales and market strategy focusing on air filtration in clean rooms & HVAC systems in the Life Science Industry.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:

OVERVIEW

  • Serve as a center of expertise for the Life Sciences market segment
  • Develop, sustain and grow the segment using the “clean air concept” sales strategy
  • Define the offering needed for success in the segment, working with Regional and Territory Sales Managers, Camfil branches, reps and distributors
  • Educate our sales teams
  • Create and implement solutions for major and key accounts
  • Drive and execute company-defined business plans

MARKET DEVELOPMENT

  • Work with Camfil branches, reps and distributors to set growth expectations, market attack initiatives, review performance, participate in end user presentations, product trials and testing, and contract negotiations
  • Create presentations and support materials focused on Camfil competitive advantages and customized to various audiences within the prospect’s organization: administration, production management, facilities engineering, energy management, sustainability management, finance, procurement, etc.
  • Develop a segment business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales and profitability goals
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the regional sales team within the assigned market segment
  • Lead and/or participate in training sessions involving segment applications, products, strategies, competitive positioning

TRAINING

  • Train principals and field sales force in sales process, filtration theory, company and competitor’s products, sales tools and applications, total cost of ownership message and CPP systems design and energy control processes
  • Lead and participate in training sessions for end users, OEM & Tool suppliers

TERRITORY DEVELOPMENT

  • Maximize and optimize market share
  • Develop, negotiate and manage distributor/rep agreements and partnerships where applicable, both internally and externally, and in compliance with existing contracts
  • Support National Account agreements including: distributor communication, direct contact with end users, communication and management of contract pricing and performing site surveys

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Qualified candidates will have 3+ years’ experience in Life Sciences or other technical industry
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive a team; ability to sell on value and not price
  • MS Office fluency
