Summary of Purpose:

Provides information and assists in all aspects of student enrollment process. Performs clerical duties in International Student Services/Student Departments. The employee is expected to work as a team player in a multi-cultural, diverse working environment.

Typical Duties:

This description is intended to indicate the types of duties and responsibilities requested of the employee assigned this title. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required:

  • Utilizes student information system, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and the College website, as appropriate.
  • Seeks information within the College to assist customers and collects proper documentation for international and domestic student applicants.
  • Assists International Student Advisors with maintaining F-1 student CRM/Terra Dotta including document uploads, reviewing required immigration documentation, and student record maintenance as necessary.
  • Compiles and assists with F-1 student academic progress review and communications; provides ongoing F-1 student enrollment reports, as requested.
  • Enters, records, and maintains student records and files; reviews computer center files, system data, and documentation to identify and resolves issues relating to student records.
  • Assists Registrar in reviewing change-of-grade forms for completeness and accuracy; processes approved grade changes in the college wide computer systems.
  • Reviews and evaluates college transcripts for transferable credit; proofreads, reviews accuracy of transferred credits, and records evaluations for inclusion in student files; evaluates transcripts for completion of graduation requirements.
  • Requests suggested catalog changes from College’s academic departments; compiles revisions for Registrar’s review; proofreads/edits catalog and prepares revisions for departmental review; maintains permanent records of catalog changes; performs editing (for example: college catalog, schedules, correspondence), as necessary.
  • Verifies student enrollments and loan deferments, answers subpoenas, and processes appropriate paperwork (such as transcript requests, tuition verifications, etc.).
  • Compiles and communicates information from various sources including a current file of college and university categories; compiles admission statistics.
  • Handles various correspondence and assists in preparing mailings (i.e., stuffing envelopes, applying labels to envelopes/college publications, etc.)
  • Assists International Student Advisors/Registrar in the collection of information utilizing electronic equipment; prepares daily enrollment statistics during registration period.
  • Assists Counseling by scheduling appointments and providing information to students and counselors.
  • Supports Financial Aid department with the processing of Federal Work Study applicants seeking employment.
  • Orders supplies and equipment with appropriate approval.
  • Operates office equipment (e.g., photocopier, telephone, computer and any other equipment utilized by the College); cleans, maintains, and arranges for service of equipment, when necessary.
  • Trains and directs college student personnel with appropriate approval.
  • Performs related tasks, as assigned.
  • Ability to work additional hours, as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirement:

EDUCATION: Successful completion of a minimum of 24 college credit hours in Administrative Support Technology (AST), Business Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Business Administration (BUS 1100, BUS 2030, BUS 2530, MKT 2520, ACC 1800, ACC 1810, ACC 1820 and CIS 1050).
