Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job at Spherion Staffing
· Pulling orders and preparing for shipment to customers
· Weighing and packing orders
· Printing labels and shipping orders via UPS, DHL, and FEDEX system, ensuring accuracy
· Hand stack orders on pallets
· Ability to use a pallet jack and forklifts (Standup type and Sit-down type)
· Loading and unloading of containers and trucks
· Verifying and signing for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy
· Daily count of inventory as well as end of year inventory
· Data entry
· Maintain proper amount of shipping supplies
· Safeguarding sensitive company and employee information
· Ensure racks/storage areas are neat and organized
· General cleaning of work area
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
· High School diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
· Forklift Certified
· Basic Math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
· Prior experience with UPS and FEDEX, or DHL software
· Efficient in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong sense of organization and urgency
· Able to work independently without constant supervision
· Ability to lift and stack boxes
· Walking and standing for long periods of time
