The NICU is recognized as a Level IV NICU — the highest level of care for neonates. We are a designated March of Dimes NICU Family Support® program and have a Neuro NICU for babies with neurologic conditions.
NICU Level IV:
- 49 beds
- Provides developmentally appropriate care to infants born 22 weeks and above
- 1-2 patients per RN depending on stability of the baby
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on Staff 24/7

Provides care to patients with complex NICU needs.
- Performs advanced monitoring using current technology
- High Frequency ventilation
- Cares for surgical patients with congenital anomalies, intubated patients and patients with tracheostomies
- Total Body Cooling (TBC), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)
- Central arterial lines/monitoring and other venous lines
Required:
MN RN License
BLS
Preferred
BSN or BAN
Certification in related specialty.
Additional Requirements:
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
