POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist DPW Facility Electricians in installing; conduit, wiring, wiring devices, panels, circuit breakers, light fixtures, electrical equipment, solar, low, medium, and high voltage electrical distribution systems involving electrical and mechanical work at all non-gaming Tribal buildings. Successfully collaborate across the Division of Public Works (DPW) team. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in installing and repairing wiring circuits, light fixtures, wiring devices, electrical distribution systems to meet applicable electrical codes on all non-gaming Tribal buildings.
2. Assist in installing and maintaining electrical components of varied equipment.
3. Work on secondary voltage equipment.
4. Assist in diagnosis and remedies of all electrical troubles and repairs to replace all electrical equipment.
5. Assist in completing work reports daily regarding time, date and material used etc.
6. Measure and test equipment ensuring preventive maintenance using all electrical tools.
7. Asist in installation, operation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
8. Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications and codes.
9. Assist in performing standard computations relating to the wiring of electrical equipment.
10. Assist in estimating jobs in terms of cost of labor, materials, and recommendations.
11. Follow direction of DPW Electricians in completing job assignments.
12. Contribute to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
13. Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.
14. Maintain strict department security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Frequently work at elevated heights and underground, sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb heights, reach above shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull, and carry up to twenty-four (24) pounds.
2. Occasionally carry from twenty-five (25) to one hundred (100) pounds with assistance.
3. Employee is required to use both hands for repetitive movement, single and firm grasping. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities include being able to hear well at a normal range.
4. Work is generally performed in an indoors and outdoors setting with a high noise level. Exposure to natural weather conditions and temperatures, various dusts, smoke and mists, and normal debris and hazards may occur while performing outdoor duties. Protective clothing may be required.
5. Perform work and complete electrical installations in class one (1), division one (1), and two (2) locations.
6. Work in wastewater treatment plant environments and confined spaces.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to learn how to reference and apply the National Electric Code NFPA 70 and State Electrical SPS 316 code in completing electrical work in Oneida Facility buildings.
2. Willingness to register with State of Wisconsin as an Electrical Trainee.
3. Willingness to pursue additional electrical training.
4. Knowledge of the occupational hazards of the electrical trade and the necessary safety precautions.
5. Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment of the electrical trade.
6. Skill in operating computers and various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment.
7. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to read and interpret sketches, diagrams, and blueprints.
8. Ability to exercise good judgment in job assignments practices, techniques and the theory and operation of electrical equipment and controls and be able to communicate these needs.
9. Ability to work as a team member and foster a positive work environment.
10. Maintain strict departmental security, confidentiality and quality to meet professional standards of the department.
11. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor as a representative of the Oneida Nation in dealing with the general public.
12. Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.
13. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nation’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
14. Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation’s Gaming Division.
15. A valid driver’s license or occupational driver’s license is required. Must obtain a Wisconsin driver’s license or occupational driver’s license within thirty (30) days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver’s license. Must be authorized as eligible to operate a Tribal vehicle under the Oneida Nation’s Vehicle Driver Certification and Fleet Management Law prior to actual start date. Must maintain driver’s eligibility as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
