Quality Control Technician Job at Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM)
Job Summary
- Follow all QC procedures, work instructions and data recording in accordance with the Company’s Quality Management System
- Conduct root cause analysis regarding quality issues. Identify and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Assist external and internal quality audits
- Disposition non-conforming material
- Assist Production teams with process changes, quality plan documentation, and test requirement updates
- Assist customer service and sales teams to respond to customer questions in relation to product capability and limitations
- Help to drive continuous quality improvement and scrap reduction across the site
- Maintain preventive maintenance and calibration of quality lab equipment
- Perform quality assurance tests and visual inspections of raw materials, intermediary products, and finished goods per work instructions
- Collect and send R&D samples. Monitor, test, and report on production trials. Ensure trial materials are monitored, controlled, and disposed of as required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- General production experience in a manufacturing environment; must be comfortable working around machinery/ heavy industrial equipment, as well as quality lab equipment
- Quality Management Systems Experience
- Mechanical or technical aptitude, and root cause analysis experience
- Strong analytical skills, comfort with quantitative information and ability to work with large datasets
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Solid computer skills including MS Office
- Open availability/flexibility to work overtime as needed including extended shifts and/or weekends
