The Valuation and Analytics team in Corporate Risk Management Department (CRMVA) is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the fair valuation process of the corporation’s investment portfolio in coordination with the investment departments. To manage the Corporation’s fund investment portfolio fair valuation process, the team is looking for a Portfolio Officer to help with valuation review work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the IFC Portfolio valuation review process with a focus on inventory, review, analysis in the private equity fund area.
  • Coordinate the quarterly fund review cycle conducting key activities including process kick off, quarter end feedback, listed investee and parallel investments analysis.
  • Review allocated valuations mainly in the fund area ensuring valuation quality and enforcing Corporate’s valuation procedures and guidelines.
  • Identify the need and lead the work revising/improving fund valuation guidelines.
  • Help develop, implement and/or maintain appropriate investment portfolio valuation tools on allocated investment valuation solutions and other models as needed.
  • Provide varying levels of user support and system maintenance on the EPMS valuation system.
  • Other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned.

Selection Criteria

  • Strong analytical and applied finance background, with knowledge of accounting, and finance.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience on fund investments operations, corporate finance and/or asset valuation.
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to consult and liaise with investment/portfolio staff, cluster portfolio managers as well as industry and regional managers on an on-going basis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well individually or as part of a team, and to contribute proactively wherever necessary.
  • Flexibility to work late and early morning hours to accommodate the field staff as necessary.
