The Philadelphia office of Saltz Mongeluzzi & Bendesky has an exciting opportunity for a Plaintiff’s Firm Mass Tort Paralegal.

Responsibilities

• Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney.
• Entrusted to receive and manage new client intakes for individual client litigation.
• Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case.
• Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact.
• Supports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses; organizing materials for team case review.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Orders medical records, medical billing, in preparation for litigation.
• Requests medical and economic reports from experts.

Job Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

• 2-3 years experience with Mass Tort or other Personal Injury matters.

• Excellent organizational, time management, research and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Must be a self-starter

• The ability to work independently.

• Strong computer skills.

• Must be a team player.

• Case management software experience is also a plus.

Compensation

Firm offers competitive salary, comprehensive health insurance, PTO, holidays, life insurance, and employer matched 401K retirement plan. Experience with FileVine and Outlook preferred. Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
