We are creating an expanding network of independent engineers, architects, and scientists, and we are looking for MEP Engineers to join our network and provide designs for our clients.

The way we operate is different than the traditional business model:
You will be connected with the clients locally and remotely in the Sumer Innovations platform to discuss their needs and provide the service. You will be working with a global network of experts from which you can request support from top freelancers and other engineers from all across the world, with whom we partner to assist when needed. You will be choosing your work schedule, and you will request the fee for your service.
Summary of what you’ll do:
- Designing MEP systems - MEP Engineers design the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a building, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, power, water supply, and drainage.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations - MEP Engineers must be familiar with local building codes and regulations to ensure that the design and installation of MEP systems comply with them.
- Collaborating with architects and contractors - MEP Engineers work closely with architects and contractors to ensure that the design and installation of MEP systems meet the needs of the building and its occupants.
- Managing project timelines and budgets - MEP Engineers are responsible for managing project timelines and budgets, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Conducting site visits and inspections - MEP Engineers visit construction sites before, during and after construction to inspect the project for design purposes and to monitor the progress of the project to ensure that the installation of MEP systems meets the design specifications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues - MEP Engineers are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with MEP systems, ensuring that they function correctly and efficiently.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering License, preferably in CO, AZ, NV, and CA.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in designing MEP systems for buildings and facilities
- Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software
