POSITION PURPOSE:
Reporting into the SVP North American Sales, as Manager of Commercial Analytics, NA, this role will be responsible for delivering ‘best in class sales analytics for products in analyzing retail POS, investments, and market trends. The role plays a critical part in weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting in assessing the overall health of the business. This role will be responsible for customer meeting preparation and supporting sales in the overall business strategy by proactively identifying opportunities, analyze promotions / pricing and potential market threats. As a key partner to sales, this role is also a critical player in assessing competitor opportunities and reporting competitor market insights weekly with actions and recommendations when necessary.

WORK LOCATION: New England Area. Hybrid (1-2 days in the office) - 26 Crosby Dr Bedford, MA
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver fact-based analysis utilizing – POS, Retailer Inventory, syndicated data and other tools to maximize Thermacell productivity with all major retailers
- Analyze and evaluate pre and post promotion analyses for retailers, quantifying impact to brand and category
- Provide assortment and promotion planning recommendations through analytical research
- Provide competitor category analytics, share results, and SKU level rankings
- Act as a ‘Category Advisor' to certain retailers to help drive sales and help jointly manage their business
- Periodically meet with retailers to present analysis and data driven decision making
- Deliver Daily/Weekly/Monthly analytics reports showing health of business (Retailer POS data dependent)
- Understand day to day impact of the POS to facilitate decision making
- Provide visibility to performance of key product launches
- In-store visits to assess on-shelf presence, display locations and competitive activity. Bring the real-world activities into the POS data
- Identify, measure, and quantify marketplace/ retailer trends, issues, and opportunities
- Collaborate with sales directors to support retailer meetings
- Assist in budget planning and strategic direction based on data driven recommendations
- Manage an individual immediately with the goal of building a team as the business grows
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Experience working with outside sales rep groups preferred
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Makes data-based decisions, leverages data (POS, syndicated, retailer, weather insights etc.) to validate their insights and help the business make wholistic decisions
- Immerses themselves in the goals of the broader sales team to support achieving revenue and profit targets
- Is brave, candid and confident in their own voice
- Serves as a data expert to retailer, comfortable presenting live to key customers
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external business partners
- Highly resourceful. Ability to get things done, where resources are constrained, and a hands-on approach is needed

Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience within a strategic sales environment
- Experience evaluating sales data from large retailers (e.g., Walmart, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes etc. preferred)
- Proven ability to translate raw data into insights and actionable information
- Advanced Microsoft Suite Office skills especially Excel & PowerPoint
