Manager ETL Development - Big Data (Remote)

Full time, UK/US

The ETL Senior Manager is responsible for the delivery of data engineering solutions for the Travel Data & Insights team. You will consistently deliver high quality solutions and operate in a continuous improvement mindset. You should have strong technical experience with multiple data engineering technologies and various soft skills to lead a high performing team.

As a Manager ETL Development, you will

• Managing a team of technical resources
• Perform goal setting and monitoring
• Intimate knowledge of all aspects of solutions responsible for delivering

• Big Data (Role 1)

  o Hands-on development/delivery required

• Ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic organization
• Collaborate, develop and maintain relationships with key business partners
• Promote and ensure a culture of transparency and accountability
• Enforcement of security and access control measurements to safeguard data and code security policies (Information Security Policies, Development standards)
• Provide input to process improvements for team and organization - high proficiency in the TDI SDLC process
• Manage work assignments (includes support cases) and capacity planning in a SAFe Agile/Kanban environment. Maintain close alignment with TD&I program manager for prioritization/sequencing of deliverables.

About you

• 2+ years ETL team lead/manager experience
• Experience using tools such as Atlassian (Jira/Confluence)
• 5+ years of ETL design/development (code creation)
• 5+ years of data architecture experience preferred
• Design/development (code creation) and data architecture experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of technical concepts, such as physical data modeling, performance tuning, code reviews process, Agile SDLC, and production support
• Deployment and test automation knowledge via Azure DevOps/TFS
• 5+ years of experience working with various data management systems, physical database design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support.

• Experience with the travel industry a plus
