JOB TITLE: Intervention Co-facilitator
REPORTS TO: Intervention Coordinator
FLSA DESIGNATION: Non-Exempt
HOURS: 8 shifts a week (currently only 6 scheduled)
Pay: $55 per group
Mileage paid for travel to groups
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Co-facilitate Men’s Intervention Group 6 times a week.
Co-facilitate Women’s Intervention Group 2 times a week-location and times to be determined.
Monday: 12:00 PM-1:00 PM Open Door Church-Hibbing
Monday: 2:30 PM-3:30 PM at Olcott Plaza- Virginia
Tuesday: 10:30 AM- 11:30 AM AFFP- Grand Rapids
Tuesday: 6:00 PM- 7:00 PM Open Door Church-Hibbing
Wednesday: 3:00 PM- 4:00 PM Olcott Plaza- Virginia
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM AFFP- Grand Rapids
Follow coursework for Men’s Intervention Program and engage group members in conversations regarding domestic violence.
Record participants' information in individual files and all other necessary forms. Document contacts with participants and referral agencies as they occur.
Carry out the goals of the funding grant(s)
Review, edit and create materials as necessary
Identify client needs and refer to appropriate community resources.
Maintain confidentiality of agency issues.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Treat the people we serve, co-workers, and the public respectfully and courteously at all times. Maintain confidentiality of agency issues. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with the people we serve, customers, co-workers, and supervisors. Attend training or networking meetings as requested by the Executive Director. Create and maintain professional relationships by using effective and timely communication with all appropriate agencies of each case. Represent Advocates for Family Peace at meetings in the absence of the Director. Participate in scheduled staff meetings and board-staff workshops. Adhere to agency policies. Practice self-care and assist in creating a work environment that encourages self-care for all staff. Establish and maintain clear boundaries with the people we serve. Flexibility and adaptability regarding assigned job duties and changes within the agency.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum educational requirement is a high school degree. An AA degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, OTHER:
Ability to work independently/use own judgment to coordinate the needs of the office.
Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrated ability to be assertive with the people we serve and coordinating agencies.
Demonstrated ability to work well with staff and community members.
Ability to work as a team member.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access database.
Travel required and overnight stays periodically.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate services.
Understanding of violence prevention philosophies.
Flexibility.
Have valid car insurance or inform the executive director of lack of car insurance.
Hold a valid Minnesota driver’s license (or obtain one within 30 days of employment) and maintain a good driving record.
