Position Description
HGC Construction is seeking a Superintendent II to join our team in Columbus, OH. As Superintendent II, you will be responsible for field operations and onsite management of commercial construction projects. You will be a key factor in ensuring the quality of our work product and the future of our workforce.
Responsibilities include:
- Commitment to safety and quality on all projects
- Ability to supervise construction employees and subcontractors to stay within budget and schedule
- Inspect all work for compliance with plans, specs, and quality levels
- Monitor job site to identify potential issues
- Participate or lead Lean scheduling process
- Conduct pre-installation meetings with subcontractors
- Develop and implement logistical plans for the project requirements
- Assist in solving constructability issues and document resolution
- Review approved submittals and shop drawings and ensure subcontractors install work in accordance with these documents
- Prepare punch lists for subcontractors and assist with Owner punch lists
Position Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a commercial construction Superintendent
- OSHA 30
- Experience with construction management software
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
- Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
