SEH is currently searching for a talented Graduate Engineer to join our Highway Design team supporting our Highway Design Team, fully remote!

SEH's Highway Design Team keeps their eyes and minds on the road – their solutions impact how we travel across our highways and roadways. You will be part of an award-winning team which designs innovative solutions for traffic corridor enhancements, bridge and interchange designs using the latest technology. From the initial stages of preliminary design through final design administration, environmental work and construction – you’ll find yourself immersed in life-lasting projects that get us where we need to go safely and efficiently.

What you will be doing:

• Opportunity to work on a wide variety of transportation projects for a wide variety of clients including State DOT, County, City and Private Developers under project manager and engineers who are experts in their fields
• You can have a hand in working on large complex projects in many different locations within the US.
• Using the latest in design software including Microstation OpenRoad Designer (ORD) and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Typical projects may include rural and urban roadways, intersections, roundabouts, bridges, trails, , 3D modeling, storm sewer design, utility coordination, traffic signal design, and traffic control design for county, state, federal, and private clients

Required Qualifications:

• Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Occasional overnight travel will be required
• Basic skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant municipal street design and construction administration experience
• Strong ability to work in a team environment
• Experience in highway design and construction of MNDOT projects
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of InRoads, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software design packages
