Assistant Quality Inspector/ISO Auditor Job at Liberty Pumps
Headquartered in Bergen, NY, Liberty Pumps is a leading U.S. manufacturer of pumping products for ground water and wastewater removal in residential and commercial applications. We are one of the major manufacturers and suppliers of residential and light commercial duty pumps in North America. A new 60,000 square foot factory was opened in 2001, and we just completed our second major expansion in 2016 which resulted in approximately 250,000 total square feet of production, R&D, and office space. We continue to add on, as we are in our 3rd phase of construction due for completion in 2022.

Summary of the Position
Professionally, accurately, and efficiently support Quality/Manufacturing/Service/Purchasing and Engineering as needed with part inspections, and support the Quality Management System, including conducting thorough ISO audits on a scheduled basis.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Two-year degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience is required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, prints, material certifications, and analysis reports. Determine correct gauges and measuring techniques to ensure adequate and accurate inspections. Ability to properly gather, document and report relevant data or information. Ability to properly gather, document and report relevant data or information. Capable of scheduling time between performing ISO audits and performing receiving inspections. Capable of taking direction as well as working with minimal supervision.
PREFFERED SKILLS
1. Complete inspection of components/assemblies (incoming, in-process, first piece, first article, finished, tools and fixtures).
2. Perform Special Inspections of components/assemblies for tests and experiments.
3. Expert understanding and interpretation of GD&T practices and standards.
4. Expected to understand gauge and measurement systems capabilities.
5. Expected to review and understand product documentation such as inspection reports, flow charts, material certifications and analysis reports, special processing data and reports and First Article Inspection packages, etc. to ensure adequacy to all applicable standards.
6. Competent ability to read, understand and interpret a variety of part, product prints and ISO standards.
7. Competent use and programming of CMM utilizing PC-DMIS software, optical comparators, and force testers.
8. Responsible for training in a clear, concise, and effective manner, other personnel on the use of inspection and test equipment including follow-up to ensure personnel understand and can effectively apply the provided training.
9. Schedule and perform internal company ISO Audits as required on a timely basis.
10. Expected to clearly and concisely report accurate and meaningful results of audits and inspections to appropriate team members and to complete logs, reports and other data entry and analysis as dictated by procedures, policies, instructions and as indicated by management personnel.
11. Participate in team meetings, audits and break through teams as needed.
12. Expected to provide input to continuously improve our products and processes.
13. Operate fork truck, powered vehicles, lifts, and pallet jacks in a safe manner as needed.
14. Assist with the development/implementation of Quality Assurance programs and procedures.
15. Ability to effectively use the Microsoft Office suite of software.
16. Operate according to ISO 9001 requirements & standards.
17. Accountable to follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area and use good safety judgement. Expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to Supervisor and/or Safety Representative.
