Position - Web Software Developer

Duration - 12+ months

Location - Menands, NY (Hybrid - 1 week onsite, 1 week remote – Initially its Remote)

Mandatory Qualifications:

·Expert 84+ Months
Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Secondary Qualifications:

• 84 months of experience in the design, implementation and deployment of web applications (single page front end applications, REST backends)
• 84 months of experience with frameworks like Spring (SpringBoot, MVC, etc)
• 84 months of experience in design, implementation and deployment of system-to-system applications (REST APIs, REST clients, security)
• 60 months of experience with relational and NoSQL databases (such as Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc)
• 60 months of experience designing and building cloud native and hybrid applications (AWS)
• 60 months of experience in programming public sector government IT projects
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institution.

Day to day tasks include:
The consultant will be performing application development tasks including researching and documenting technical designs, programming solutions, writing and executing unit test plans, researching, resolving, and testing defects, customer technical support, and close collaboration with other team members.

• -Review business requirements documentation with technical manager to ensure clarity in implementation of technical design
• -Implement systems and program design to meet highly complex business needs and technical design document.
• -Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.
• -Assists technical manager in development time estimates and assigned tasks
• -Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents highly complex programs, and developing complex test plans to verify logic programs.
• -Troubleshoots complex end user technical issues, identifying problems and leading solutions
• -Implements release management process including technical steps to promote, test and release through the development environment, coordinating with infrastructure staff.
• -Uses iterative and agile software development life cycle methodologies.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Albany, NY 12204: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
