Job Summary:
We are in search of a confident, reliable, and experienced 16ft to 26ft box truck driver to join our logistics team! Drivers work as teams to provide optimum service for pickups, deliveries, loading, and unloading ranging from our dedicated small and large compost (i.e., food waste) routes, local and out-of-state popup events, and other various tasks as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Safely driving the truck while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
· Conduct pre and post vehicle checks daily
· Arriving to pickup and delivery locations on time as scheduled
- Report all issues or incidents to dispatch immediately
- Ensure that all cargo is safely secured before transport, loading, and unloading.
· Other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Valid driver’s icense
· Box truck driving experience
· Pallet jack and hand truck experience
· Strong communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and customer experience skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Detail oriented
· Safety conscious
· Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
Preferred but not required:
· Food delivery experience
· ServSafe Certified
Commitment and Consideration:
· This is a Part-time contract position
Physical Requirements:
· Lifting 50lbs+ (with assistance)
