Who we’re looking for
Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is looking for a highly motivated Technical Delivery Manager whose primary focus includes working with Information & Digital Systems leadership and Remarketing business Product Owner to understand strategic vision and goals. The outcome is a detailed product roadmap to align cross-functionally and the successful delivery towards those strategic priorities within defined target dates
The Technical Delivery Manager is the technical product owner with both strategic and execution delivery responsibilities. This role requires experience working in a dynamic environment, with an ability to manage through competing priorities that may require pivoting. Additionally, this role will actively and consistently communicate with purpose, clarity, and brevity
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for product prioritization, delivery, and resources management to ensure features meet defined business outcomes, comply with set controls and deliver quality
- Identify and track scrum team performance in order to identify trends, opportunities, efficiencies, and improvements.
- Proactively engage and collaborate with business leadership, service providers, and software vendors to anticipate questions and needs.
- Identify and consistently measure the quality of delivered features based on defects and requirement gaps
- Develop, maintain, adjust, and publish product roadmap.
- Responsible for performance management of factory resources, including coaching and development of resources.
- Guide and ensure the team is using Agile/Scrum best practices.
- Responsible for maintaining work item accuracy, burndown charts, and velocity.
- Remove impediments and coach the team to quickly and proactively seek the right resources to resolve the blocking item.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear with an emphasis on problem-solving.
What you bring
- Four-Year College Degree [BS]: in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Minimum 7 or more years of progressive, broad-based Information Technology (IT) and/or Information Security (IS) experience participating in projects and playing a leading role toward successful delivery of the projects.
- Experience supporting a “High Touch” customer with real-time needs and requirements.
- Strategic visioning and roadmap development experience with technologies spanning.
- Custom development
- COTS
- SAAS
- Understanding N-tier, cloud-based, platform applications and other frameworks.
- Ability to effectively communicate with many levels of senior management throughout technical and non-technical organizations.
- Ability to take complex technical concepts and present ideas (and benefits) to non-technical management in an impactful qualitative and quantitative way.
- Ability to work parallel initiatives and be able to deliver to timelines with quality.
- Develop relationships and influence through a consensus-building approach.
- Excellent organizational written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in automotive, remarketing, and financial services is a plus.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and negotiation capabilities.
Added bonus if you have:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive, broad-based Information Technology (IT) and/or Information Security (IS) experience leading projects toward successful implementation.
- Experience in business planning, resource allocation, and project management.
- Experience influencing and working effectively in a hybrid work group.
- Experience working in agile teams and methodologies and scrum master experience.
