Job Description For: Systems Engineer III

The Systems Engineer III is responsible for implementing and supporting companywide systems and infrastructure. This role performs a wide variety of planning, installation, configuration, upgrading, maintaining computer/server system applications, and network/telecom infrastructure. Monitors the performance of systems and remediates issues. Deploys and supports cybersecurity services. Supports front-line IT customer service team and IT business services team with all systems, networks/LAN/WAN, cybersecurity, and cloud services. Also provides investigation, diagnostics, testing and repair/resolution of systems, hardware, software and supporting infrastructure. Business and manufacturing building environments may offer primitive indoor and outdoor work environments; a balance of creativity and Kodiak standards will be required to solve technical challenges and deploy related solutions.

Job Duties:
Required tasks to fulfill primary responsibility:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • System designs, configurations, installations, and support of equipment within a Microsoft Operating System environment, Microsoft 365/Azure tenant(s), Microsoft domain(s), and Cisco Meraki WAN(s) & LAN(s)
  • Implements system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance
  • Provide automation of regular tasks where applicable to help streamline and scale operations
  • Business systems support, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Lead engineering projects in accordance with Kodiak Standards, project management processes and quality assurance guidelines
  • Act as interface for our customers, provide technical analysis and provide support service desk team to deliver professional customer service
  • Requirements gathering, research analysis, and provide recommendations
  • Manage performance of multiple hardware and software platforms
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork soft skills
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with resources and dependent teams at all levels of the company
  • Flexible to travel nationwide for subsidiary project and support work
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:
Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent and/or specific degree. Technology certificates preferred – cloud infrastructure (Microsoft & Meraki), ITIL, and/or cybersecurity related

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) to Nine (9) or more related years’ experience within a managed service company or company IT department

SALARY RANGE: $90-140,000.00 DOE
