The Sustainability (ESG) Reporting Analyst is a critical member of our Sustainability team which is responsible for advancing the Baker Hughes’ environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) strategy and performance. You will be part of a team that drives our global sustainability strategy, ensuring that we keep ahead of rapidly evolving expectations, disclosures, and regulations to maintain a world-class program.

You will work collaboratively across the business to track progress and report our performance, action plans, management approaches, policies, and ESG disclosures. This will include helping develop responses to key rating and ranking indices, coordinating global and country-level ESG disclosures, and supporting the continued establishment and measurement of progress against formal ESG goals. You will also support the creation and tracking of key ESG performance metrics and dashboards to ensure ESG performance is accurately communicated to key internal and external stakeholders. You will have an eye for detail, a love of data, and a passion for making a difference. You will also thrive in a fast-paced work environment and be able to adapt to changing circumstances, juggle competing priorities, and combine a sense of urgency with due care and attention to detail.

As a Baker Hughes Sustainability (ESG) Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Data collection, management, and analysis for Sustainability (ESG) reporting, presentations, survey responses, grants, award applications, regulatory disclosures and verifications.
  • Distilling and summarizing internal and external data to provide support as needed to the Sustainability Executive Team on Sustainability (ESG) objectives and initiatives, including related to performance and efficiencies across the business, supply chain decisions, sales strategies, community engagement, product development, capital decisions, external messaging, diversity, inclusion, sustainability, and real estate management.
  • Optimizing internal procedures, particularly in developing and maintaining proper data collection and reporting controls, given systems and reporting framework maturity.
  • Tracking Sustainability (ESG) goals against metrics.
  • Staying current with industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to understand and advise the impact and applicability of new sustainability-focused regulations and reporting frameworks.
  • Working with the business to develop scalable processes to collect and report on greenhouse gas data, targets, roadmaps and solutions.
  • Supporting integration of supplier data into product and business environmental footprint activities, such as life cycle assessments.
  • Maintaining positive, proactive relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in science, business, supply chain or related field
  • Have data collection, management, and analysis for Sustainability (ESG) reporting experience
  • Be a self-starter, with proven experience in driving consensus and proposing go-forward solutions
  • Bring proven project management skills with demonstrated experience to self-manage complex delivery in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Have experience working with interdisciplinary teams (e.g. Sustainability, Procurement Teams, Business teams, Engineering) and managing relationships with complex stakeholders
  • Have demonstrated flexibility and experience and willingness to learn and work on projects
  • Have experience with data management and report preparation (e.g. Corporate Responsibility Reports, Climate Disclosure Project, and/or SEC filings)
  • Be able to advance multiple priorities in parallel and work independently, prioritize workflow to meet critical deadlines while paying exceptionally close attention to detail
  • Have extensive analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be an excellent communicator, have effective interpersonal and team working skills
  • Be a team player with unquestionable integrity
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication abilities
