What You’ll Get to Do:
- Develop Strategy Management planning and process documentation to include process guides, memoranda as well as primary and supplementary strategy documentation in support of Army Information Technology mission essentials.
- Engage with organizations across the Army and provide your strategic and performance management expertise to guide initiatives and ensure Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-6 initiatives are strategically aligned.
- Provide primary technical and administrative support to the development and maintenance of data in the Army’s Enterprise Business Intelligence system, the Strategic Management System (SMS).
- Bring your creative skills to bare in the development of data models and data visualizations to depict the strategic performance of Army IT and Unified Network initiatives.
More About the Role:
- Provides technical and administrative support to DCS, G-6 SMS users
- Provides in-person SMS training to the Army SMS user community.
- Engages with organizations internal and external to the DCS, G-6 to support and guide the development of performance management measures and metrics.
- Leads the design of metrics hierarchies and dashboards in collaboration with Army stakeholders.
- Leads the development and implementation of metrics required to manage performance of initiatives aligned with Army strategic plans, policies, regulations and mandates.
- Provides technical and policy writing and editing expertise in development of guidance documents and memorandums.
- Maintains knowledge of new and emerging IT policy, regulation and practices in both government and commercial arenas.
- Develops briefing materials for senior Army Leaders to support data-based decision making for Army Information Technology.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Strategy development experience
- Process improvement experience
- Experience with Army and/or DoD programs
- Knowledge management experience
- Familiarity with the Federal IT Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA)
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and capability sets
- Knowledge of DOD and Army IT policy
- BA/BS + 7-9 years of work experience, or MA/MS and 5 years work experience, with 2-4 years of strategy development experience for a government agency.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools
- Experience with strategy alignment initiatives with another Federal Agency
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience interacting with senior leadership
- Knowledge of strategic management concepts
