Job Responsibilities

1. Performs manual labor and routine clerical record keeping tasks in the receiving, storing, shipping and care of office supplies, industrial material and equipment, foodstuffs, medical supplies, and related items in warehouses for facility use

  • Receives, unpacks, and stores goods or supplies in proper storage places
  • Checks for damages or spoilage

2. Issues supplies from storeroom on approval requisitions for facility use

  • Delivers supplies in emergency situations

3. Assembles, packs, and transports or arranges for transporting stored goods or material

  • Loads and unloads supplies as required

4. Assists in taking physical inventory of stock as require

5. Keeps simple receiving and shipping records

6. Operates materials, handling equipment such as, hand trucks, dollies, scales, etc.

7. Maintain store stock in neat order, keep work areas clean

8. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

1. Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school

Preferred Qualifications

1. Elementary knowledge of storeroom methods and procedures, transportation modes, shipment methods and kinds and grades of foodstuffs, maintenance, medical or office supplies

2. One (1) year of experience keeping simple receiving and shipping records

3. One (1) year of experience understanding and following oral or written instructions

Conditions of Employment

1. Must pass a background check

2. Must complete a drug screen and pre-employment physical

3. Must meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance

4. Able to bend, stoop, twist, stand and walk for protracted periods of time, use fine and gross hand manipulation

5. Able to push, pull, and lift to 50 pounds

6. Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled or last-minute overtime
