Shipping Coordinator/ Inventory Control
Coordinate all outbound freight by means of clear communication with freight forwarders, accurately filling out Bills of Lading, processing trailer arrival/departures and consolidating loads cost-effectively while maintaining schedule.
Manage inventory through allocation of outbound and processed goods with extensive inventory control processes, quality control checks and direct communication with warehouse staff.
Set up local delivery fleet, prioritizing deliveries to facilitate cost-effective routes while ensuring customer satisfaction based on individual needs.
Job Conditions
Some pressure exists from regular daily deadlines, changing priorities and/or interruptions. Relieving others of excess work is expected.
Normal working hours are 8:00 am- 5 PM Monday - Friday 1 hr unpaid lunch.
Overtime is required and paid as needed to fulfill duties.
Work Environment
The employee will be working in an office environment most of the time but will need to make occasional trips to warehouse to verify inventory or interact with Warehouse staff.
