Our Ag Service Managers manage the service operations within the dealership to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize return on investment by optimizing service department processes. Grows profitable service labor sales and exercises disciplined expense control. Attracts, retains, and assists with development of department personnel.

• Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
• Participates in John Deere University training and dealer led training to further the development of skills and knowledge
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Accounts for all time on a timecard and for all material used in performing assigned duties
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Training*

• Associates degree preferred; High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required

Technical Knowledge

• Valid driver’s license is required
• Experience using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet applications
• Experience connecting with customers, maintain professional image, establish rapport
• Experience with off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence
• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Experience leading and working cooperatively in a team environment
• Experience communicating effectively
• Experience analyzing and interpreting internal reports

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. if needed

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working in a service department; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred
