Hai Hospitality is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer for our in-house design team, Hai Design Studio, in Austin, TX.

Hai Design Studio is a growing in-house design team of architects and interior designers with a focus on hospitality spaces. We are looking for a well-rounded, enthusiastic team member interested in tackling exciting projects across the country. As part of a small team, there is a large runway for this individual to grow their skills across the full duration of projects and contribute to the trajectory of the studio.

We're offering an annual salary between $80K-$90K, based on experience, plus benefits.

What you'll do in this role:

• Communicate design ideas clearly with external partners and internal stakeholders
• Create clear design narratives to drive successful, place-based designs across brands
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
• Manage project timelines and project budgets effectively
• Model design ideas and create detail drawings to convey design intent to project teams
• Select materials, finishes, and review design related shop drawings
• Uphold and further develop design standards across Hai Hospitality brands
• Review and provide feedback on the accuracy of plans, elevation, details, and schedules for design intent
• Provide FFE packages - includes making selections, coordinating with procurement partners, reviewing samples, and meeting budgets
• Provide feedback during Construction Administration on RFIs and submittals, substitutions, and field conditions for conformance with design intent
• Collaborate with Hai’s in-house construction team on the execution of new projects and on any obstacles that arise
• Coordinate FF&E installs at project openings
• Maintain ongoing relationships with completed restaurant projects and provide design support
• Complete and maintain project sourcebooks across projects
• Travel periodically for project openings and key milestones

What we hope you'll bring to this team:

• Accredited degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• ~5-7 years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, Enscape, and Bluebeam
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign strongly desired
• Eye and appreciation for bespoke hospitality design
• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Initiative, positive attitude, team player
