Summary
General Laborers work in various areas and perform a variety of jobs and tasks required to maintain smooth operation and to assist when specific needs arise. This position is on Crew A (days).
Key Responsibilities
Ensures continuous open-bag blending of released product to the line as specified by packaging.- Reworks product including pulling cases off of the pallets, opening the cases, tearing the bags open and putting the product in totes or the line; lift and move pallets when needed; make totes and liners when required.
- During downtimes, such as cleanups and breaks in the line, conducts open-bag and inspection work.
- inspects product to remove unusable product in accordance with all applicable company and customer regulations. Must immediately notify the lead, operator, or supervisor of any foreign material such as glass, metal, rocks, rags, gloves, tools, etc.
- Responsible for loading cases onto the KD Fiber system as part of a rotation with other Rework Blenders and/or General Laborers. Must ensure proper flow and distribution of cases through the machines. Must quickly identify and report issues
Typical Education
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Relevant Experience
Other Information
- Must have an acceptable safety record.
- Must have an acceptable attendance record.
- Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
