The responsibilities of a Department manager includes:

• Provide a high level of customer service in all areas of the store.
• Provides basic department maintenance including cleaning, straightening and detailing of merchandise.
• Inspects merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced, signed and merchandised
• Recommends additions to or deletions of merchandise to be sold in the department.
• Stock merchandise to the shelf accurately.
• Manages and works overstock to shelf weekly.
• Listens to customer complaints, examines returned merchandise, and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations.
• Assists sales floor associates in completing difficult sales.
• Provides assistance to the cashier and stocking teams.
• Sells merchandise on their own and assists in all other departments in accordance with customer service goals.
• Provides training and feedback to other sales associates for the Outdoor Power department.

The qualifications of a department manager includes:

• Highschool or equivalent
• Previous retail sales experience
• General knowledge of hardware and outdoor power equipment preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour
