Seasonal PRN RN Intensive Care Unit ICU

What you will do in this role:

• The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

• Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.

• Maintains a safe a therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.

• Plans individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.

• Participates in performance improvement activities.

• Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

• Current TX RN licensure

• Minimum of one year ICU experience

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BLCLS) and Certification

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

• Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.

• Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.

• During the course of the seasonal program period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).

• Procedural Depts will be required to take call.

• Employee will need to be in PRN Level III position during the seasonal program.

Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There is no guarantee of hours by the hospital.
