We are hiring immediately for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in a recession proof industry at the Norfolk Southern Railroad in Bethlehem, PA! This is a full time Permanent Position at an Essential business.

Shift and Wages:

• 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday + on call when necessary for breakdowns
• Pay Rate is commensurate with experience ($23 - $25/hr)
• You have the potential to make $45,000-$60,000 in your first year!

Qualifications:

• Should have a minimum of 2-year experience in the Diesel mechanical field and be preventative maintenance minded.
• Must have extensive knowledge working with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic and Diesel systems and components.
• Be familiar with Kalmar, Cummins, Diesel, and Automotive engine repair, parts and components.
• Will need a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a 7-year background check, a drug test (Marijuana prohibited), and an IPCS Strength Test (www.ipcs-inc.com/videos)
• Must have own tools (Yearly tool allowance provided).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain Yard Spotter diesel truck fleet and other yard equipment which includes but is not limited to: welding, prevetative maintenance, eletrical work, logging maintenance, logging work orders, diagnosing equipment, ETC.
• Assist in other areas as needed by managers.
