The Quality Coordinator and Infection Prevention Nurse (RN) displays expert knowledge of Infection prevention information that is shared, audited and sustained at the Ebenezer facilities in Edina, MN. Data collection that is continuously applied to improving best practice and quality care delivered to residents.

Nursing Schedule includes:

• Full-time, 80 hours per pay period
• Participates in the Nurse On Call Rotation

Responsibilities/Job Description

• Effectively represent Nursing Administration interpreting facility policies and procedures for staff, residents and visitors
• Manage infection control in facility
• Assume administrative responsibilities in the absence of the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing as needed.
• Ensure the quality and safe nursing care for residents

Qualifications

• RN Licensure/Registered with the MN Board of Nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; accepted certifications as follows -AHA:  BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program or BLS Provider - BLS Instructor.   American Red Cross:  CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and/or Healthcare Providers, Life Guarding First Aid/CPR/AED
• ANACC Certification in Gerontology ; Preferred
