Quality Control Assistant Job at One Mighty Mill
QC Assistant.
One Mighty Mill is a fast-growing startup B-corp, on a mission to bring back local food systems that help our communities be healthy and thrive. We are building a fresh-milled supply chain to tie locally sourced wheat to stone mills to produce healthy whole wheat flour to make delicious and nutritious food. We are seeking an ambitious new team member to support us as we build out this local food system in the tri-state area.
Responsibilities:
· Testing
o Conduct NIR and DoughLAB tests per SOP
§ Daily flour samples from all One Mighty Mill locations.
§ Assist in conducting tests for new varietal/harvests guided when required.
· Finished Product Retain reporting
o Assist in conducting sensory and shelf-life on OMM product retains from co-manufacturers.
· Additional responsibilities
o Assist team in documentation for organic and FDA compliance when required.
Qualifications:
· Ability to operate and maintain testing equipment.
· Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft suite.
· Ability to keep detailed notes and record data.
· Interest in working hard to challenge the industrial food system as part of a passionate team.
· Strong communication skills both written and oral with attention to detail. Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.20 - $20.00 per hour
