QC Laboratory Technician - Waco Job at Uzin Utz North America Inc
Overview
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating raw materials and products before, during, and after production. The tested materials are mainly specialty cements and engineered blends of mineral binders, limestone, sand, and organic additives used in construction chemistry. Operation of automatic and manual testing equipment, hand tools, and instruments will be required in order to evaluate the properties of raw materials and finished goods according to ASTM, ANSI, ISO, and internal standards with the goal to assure the quality and reliability of products while adhering to all policies.
Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions

- Evaluate raw material deliveries and accept or reject them based on meeting specifications, communicate with Production and the supplier if needed.
- Perform regular testing of production samples based on each product’s unique testing schedule
- Collect all testing data into provided databases, notice trends and adjust formulations in a timely and decisive manner
- Conduct all work in a safe, organized and efficient way
- Submit the daily quality control data summary into SAP
- Ensure that the Quality Control laboratory is supplied, maintained and organized at all times
- Other duties as required.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications Preferred
- 1+ years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment
- A high school diploma
- 2-4 years of college education in Chemistry or related subject.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy; SAP experience a plus.
