Summary

The Product Manager/Product Owner will be responsible for performing the product owner role on multiple products with different clients or consultants that are in various phases of completion.

  • This is a full-time, exempt position.
  • This is a remote position with occasional travel required.
  • Standard work hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with additional hours as necessary.
  • Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a pair of eyes and ears to understand market needs/trends and what needs to be done to help our products attain product-market fit.
  • Serve as an advocate for the needs of internal and external users and represent the “voice of the customer” in the development process.
  • Constantly refine and adjust the product backlog to ensure that the product development team is able to work on the next most important thing for the business.
  • Represent the organization in meetings with prospects and customers and bring back a concise, prioritized understanding of market needs.
  • Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions and their documentation solve internal and external challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Chief of Product Innovation to define and prioritize product requirements based on the needs of the users, organization, and market.
  • Make sure priorities are clearly understood by everyone on both the development team and the company as a whole.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the K-12 industry, our customer base, and our products.
  • Be an expert in product behavior and demonstrate the functionality of the product to both internal and external users.
  • Model the e2L culture in all aspects of your work to build excitement around the team's achievements.

Requirements

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a product owner in a Software-as-a-Service environment
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience in producing detailed systems requirements and performing data analysis for projects that are technical in nature.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies with scrum being preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with web-based technologies, development platforms, and understanding of overall business processes and software.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within the fields of K-12 Education and EdTech products and services preferred
