Precision Sheet Metal and Machining Estimator (Sunnyvale)

Responsible Metal Fab, Inc is a precision sheet metal and machining Fabrication Company with our facility in Sunnyvale, CA. We currently have an immediate opening for an estimator. This is a direct hire position and comes with a full benefits package after a 60 day introductory period.

We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator. The ideal candidate will have significant experience estimating precision sheet metal projects, machining, electro-mechanical assemblies, and be able to work pro-actively with sales, customers and manufacturing personnel. Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing ERP is a plus. Excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and 401k.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews and analyzes drawings, prints, specifications, schematics, contracts, RFPS/RFQS and other documents for estimate-related activities.
• Obtain material and subcontractor quotes.
• Able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor all aspects of quoting activity.
• Develop other work order essential data including quantity discounts, material price lists, labor costs per man hour, and equipment to ensure accurate estimates and bids.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work and accept, review, and analyze. subcontractor quotes for best value.
• Prepare and submit quote forms and documents to order entry for issuance to of travelers to the factory floor.
• Work with sales and customers on design for manufacturability.
• Assist and review drawings with the manufacturing team and highlight areas of concern.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years experience in sheet metal estimating estimating
• Must be able to comprehend and analyse prints and specifications
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with cost estimating and pricing systems.
• Experience with Infor Visual Manufacturing ERP a plus
• Knowledge of precision sheet metal fabrication and machining is highly desirable
• Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently without much supervision and work well with a team
• Clean DMV record Good verbal communication skills
• Proficient in English
• Positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
• Self-motivated
