A COA Accredited Agency, CMCS has provided services in locations throughout Westchester and Rockland Counties, as well as the Bronx and Manhattan since 1946.

We are currently seeking passionate Per Diem Youth Counselor Cardinal McCloskey’s Sunrise Drop-In Center offers a warm and inviting location for youth who are “at risk” including, but not limited to, young people who have aged out of foster care, are young parents, survivors of abuse, have criminal/juvenile justice involvement, or identify as LGBTQ. The Youth Counselor (YC) is responsible for providing a safe and welcoming environment for the youth in the drop in center’s night program. This requires engaging with youth through a strength based and trauma informed approach to supervise their daily living skills. The YC is further responsible for knowing, implementing and adhering to the policies and procedures of the agency and program including the Agency's Mission, Vision, and Values Creed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required, associate degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
- Good writing, organizational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills required.
- Some office experience/front desk experience helpful.
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Previous professional experience working with at risk adolescents and young adults preferred
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Licensed Security Guard
