Job Overview:
The Patient Access Manager position is a significant contributor to the success of PFS in meeting key indicators for Patient Access. The Patient Access Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, and performing day-to-day departmental operations and staff supervision. The Manager will oversee and implement facility related operational planning/initiatives, budgets, workflow processes and internal controls.

The pay range for this position is $42.40-$63.60/hourly. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze all Patient Access functions at Shriners Children’s Northern California
  • Perform QA of all Patient Access functions on a consistent basis and utilize reports to analyze registration output to compile recommendations for improvement
  • Provide continuous training for quality improvement
  • Stay abreast of all State, Federal and Managed Care regulations as they pertain to Patient Access and communicate appropriate changes that need to occur due to these regulations
  • This position is responsible for providing leadership in achieving ongoing quality, productivity and efficiency in the daily operations of hospital patient access
  • This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the Hospital Revenue Cycle

Qualifications:
Required:
  • 5+ years hospital/patient accounting experience
  • 5+ years of management/supervisory experience
  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster
