Downtown Norfolk Campus Pastor Opportunity Profile & Position Description:

Position Overview: The Campus Pastor is responsible for leadership and pastoral care at a designated campus site (Downtown Norfolk) for Trinity Church. The Campus Pastor also works with the church staff and the Elders to carry out the mission and ministry of Trinity Church as a whole, as well as stewarding that ministry in the given community.

This role is a full time position with an average of 40 hours per week.
Position Description: Campus Pastor Campus
Leadership/Administration:
- Work in concert with Trinity Staff and Ministry Directors to recruit and train ministry team leaders to lead all aspects of ministry at the Downtown Norfolk Campus of Trinity Church. Encourage servant ministry and look for emerging leaders in all ministry areas.
- Ministry teams include:
o Worship o Set up/Tear Down
o Kids Ministry o Student Ministry

o Community Groups
o Usher
o Communion
o Prayer
o AVL
- Meet as needed with Team Leaders to provide supervision, encouragement and counsel. Train Leaders to be Eph. 4:11-16 equippers of servant leaders in their areas.
- Oversee weekly worship services and pre-service Huddle.
- Oversee communication with facility management.
- Work with Leadership Team, Campus Pastor Team, Executive Pastor and/or Elders to provide vision and leadership at specific campus.
- Provide administrative oversight for specific campus and coordinate with central administrative office staff and Executive Pastor.
Community/Connecting:
- Lead efforts to build the campus congregation.
- Lead efforts to establish relevant, effective outreach ministry in the target area.
- Oversee the follow-up of visitors to help them connect with Trinity.
- Oversee the development and multiplication of Community Groups for the campus. This includes recruiting and training leaders and supervising the administration of the ministry.
- Lead the effort to build community by encouraging people to connect in Community Groups and ministries of Trinity Church.
Pastoral Care:
- Be available to preach at the Downtown Norfolk Campus once per month on average.
- Minister to the spiritual needs of the campus congregation.
- In conjunction with other pastors, be available for pastoral counseling, pre-marital counseling, weddings and funerals.
- Lead discipleship and spiritual transformation efforts. This may include curriculum development for Community Groups and discipling individual leaders or groups of leaders.
Minimum Requirements/Critical Skills:
- Ability to lead, encourage and shepherd
- Pastoral Ministry degree or experience and ordination
- Mature Christian walk
- Gifted in pastoring, teaching, leadership and administration
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once as an organized self-starter
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Proactive attitude and temperament
- Excellent relational skills
- Strong work ethic with can-do attitude
- Proficient with Google Workspace or related software

Expectations:
- Continue in Christ centered spiritual growth and development
- Respond in a timely manner to all email, phone calls, texts, and inquiries
- Maintain consistent commitment to prayer and scripture
- Maintain strong spiritual life including marriage and/or family
- Be a member of Trinity Church and be involved in the church-wide life of Trinity Church
- Support the leadership and decisions of the Elder Board
- Cooperate with annual/regular review
- Defend the doctrinal positions of Trinity Church
- Maintain regular office hours
- Attend staff meetings
- Participate in bi-annual reviews by the Executive Pastor

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
