Position Summary
The Organic Garden Coordinator will work as part of the team responsible for the collective management of the campus organic garden program. This includes maintenance and harvesting, hosting events and volunteer days, increasing garden engagement, and improving food distribution systems. The Organic Garden Coordinator will receive training in best organic gardening practices and techniques so that they are able to maintain the garden through all seasons.

- Conduct general garden and orchard maintenance (including planning, planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, distributing produce, etc.)
- Do social outreach to campus about the garden and food justice
- Facilitate garden workdays and train and supervise volunteers who work in the garden
- Bring creativity to the garden space to further modify programming
- Work collaboratively with fellow garden team members
- Help improve garden produce distribution systems with an eye toward food justice
- Support all EC programming and events
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to learning about organic food production
- Ability to work with and motivate peers in a leadership capacity
- Ability to work independently and as a team
