JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Office Handyman and Tech Specialist can be defined as a jack of all trades role. This position reports to the CEO and will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks such as office operations, light handywork, basic tech issues and occasional personal assistance to the CEO. The successful candidate is dexterous or handy, comfortable using hardware tools, and is also knowledgable about computer hardware and troubleshoots. The position requires in-office availability with hours from 7:30am – 3:30pm EST.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Responsible for opening the office Monday through Friday at 7:30am.
  • Order, maintain, and organize supply inventory.
  • Light office handywork such as mounting tvs, changing doorknobs, hanging blinds, etc.
  • Set up computer workstations.
  • Run basic computer troubleshoots.
  • Assist with traders to ensure computers and other technology are running smoothly.
  • Monitor housekeeping standards.
  • Manage relationship with property landlord and facilities operations including securing access cards, freight operations, building requests and small repairs.
  • Manage infrastructure upkeep, repair and improvement - WiFi, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, garbage disposal, appliances, etc.
  • Coordinate with third party contractors for any work to be done in the office.
  • Provide assistance to CEO.
  • Water office plants.
  • Handle employee special requests for anything office related.

Skills Required:

  • Experience managing an office
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Proven general handyman experience
  • Experience with hardware tools
  • Knowledge of tech hardware
  • Ability to run computer troubleshoots
  • Ability to handle high volume workloads and prioritization skills
  • A desire to go -above and beyond- daily responsibilities - seek to problem solve
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Interest in the financial markets a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
