MICROBIOLOGY TECH JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Microbiology Technician, works as part of an Engineering team conducting research and development activities to support the development of new medical device products. The appropriate candidate for this position will have a working knowledge of laboratory techniques to support these product development efforts. These techniques include microbial culture and assay, measurement, data collection and the use of advanced instrumentation. In addition, the R&D Technician I will draft test reports. The job also requires adherence to the company’s Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.

MICROBIOLOGY TECH JOB DUTIES:

• Conduct testing to support product development.
• Document test results and assist in data analysis.
• Conduct, and assist in analyzing research and development studies to advance development of current and new medical devices.
• Troubleshoot test problems including those with test method, setup, data analysis and interpretation, and failure modes
• Generate and/or provide input into technical documentation for Design Control requirements, Design History File, Device Master Records, and Risk Analysis.
• Assist in performing equipment IQ/OQ/PQ validation studies.
• Perform product design verification and validation tests.
• Maintain appropriate records in accordance with established procedures and policies.
• Maintains a professional working relationship with internal & external customer and support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MICROBIOLOGY TECH JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have BA Degree in Science or Associate in Medical Devices Industry Microbiology or Equivalent
• Must have 4+ years in R&D Medical Microbiology experience
• Must have IQ/OQ/PQ Validation Studies/Experience
• Must have Medical Quality related experience
• Must have Microsoft experience
• Must speak English

MICROBIOLOGY TECH SHIFT:

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00AM to 5:00PM
