Position Overview:

Ashland City is home to A. O. Smith’s largest water heating manufacturing facility in the United States and manufactures over two million residential water heaters every year. Material Handlers (2nd Shift) move water heater products and/or parts through the facility or in the Distribution Center to meet customer demands.

We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours: 2nd Shift; Monday - Friday; start time 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm and end time between 11 pm - 12 am)

Hourly Rate of Pay: $18 - $20/hour

Sign On Bonus Opportunity: $1500 ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 12 months - must not be on a corrective action for attendance)

Requirements

• More than 1 year of forklift, tow motor, or clamp truck experience preferred
• Must be able to learn Warehouse Management System (bar code scanning)
• Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy
• Must read, understand, and comply with specific work instructions
• Must promote and comply with work safety and quality standards
• Must be able to lift 75lbs and re-position up to 200lbs
• Must be able to rotate positions requiring standing/walking entire shift
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing plant that is warmer in summer and cooler in winter
• High School Diploma or GED
• C-TPAT compliance

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
