- Comply with all company and site policies and procedures.
- Assist electricians and engineers in troubleshooting electrical system problems such as:
- Motors, Motor controls, VFD’s, Switches, Wiring, Lighting, Bonding and grounding
- Other electrical systems
- Manage and direct contract electrical labor for troubleshooting, maintenance, or installation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Create and manage work scopes for electrical contractor tasks
- Source and procure parts and materials as required for electrical work
- Act as fast response planner for emergent electrical work.
- Recommend and direct PM activities
- Personally direct yearly electrical shutdown
- Interface with electrical vendors and contractors for maintenance and other related activities.
- Monitor Motor Control Center and equipment reliability and performance
- Participate in development and commissioning of capital projects, as required
- Participate in site improvement initiatives
- Ability to read and update (red line) electrical and instrument documents such as schematics, specifications, control diagrams, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams.
- Thorough knowledge of 480V 3-phase AC electrical systems, knowledge of DC electrical systems
- Knowledge of 480V VFD’s and programming, Knowledge of NEC
- Knowledge of NFPA70E, experience with SAP and Microsoft Office
- Relevant experience in Maintenance in the chemical, power, or refining industries.
- Knowledge of SAP PM module
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
- Experience with contractor management
- Experience with maintenance planning
- Experience with Arc Flash protection requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Journeyman’s Electrician’s License for the State of Delaware-required
- 5+ years of relevant work experience related to the job roles and responsibilities
- Contractor management experience, maintenance planning experience
- Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach and lift with hands and arms and to talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
- The employee is required to ascend/descend ladders or steps. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
