Logistics Summer Internship Job at Plascore Inc
Essential Duties:
- Determine the appropriate mode of transportation; get quote price and monitor carrier performance
- Monitor and trace freight shipments for customers, domestic and international
- Compile weekly reports
- Process freight claims for freight damaged in transit
- Gather data on weights and crate sizes
- Work with IT to load data into SAP
- Assist in automation of volume declaration process
- Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current student pursing a degree in Supply Chain Management
- Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations a plus
- Must be able to work well independently and be self-directed
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card').
