The LaBore, Giuliani, Shackleford & Jensen-Lea law firm was founded more than 40 years ago by Lee L. LaBore. Currently, we have 4 partners and 2 associate attorneys along with a number of support staff. Since its inception, the firm has concentrated its efforts on representing individuals and companies sued for damages in civil lawsuits. Over the years, the firm has defended thousands of individuals in this capacity. We have an experienced staff of attorneys and legal assistants combining over 300 years of practice helping our clients. Position Summary:

We are currently looking for a Legal Office Administrator/Manager to support our attorneys and paralegals in all aspects of their work. The Legal Office Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the office. This would involve duties such as downloading materials and sorting them, opening new files, scheduling meetings for Partners, assist with escalating I.T. issues to our professional support, HR duties, schedule meetings for vendors and support staff, and more. The Office Administrator will also work closely with attorneys to determine their support needs and to ensure that employees have the necessary tools and training to perform the essential functions of their jobs.

Essential Functions:

  • Directly supervise, recruit, and hire staff when needed.
  • Conducts annual reviews for support staff.
  • Prepares salary analysis for annual salary increases.
  • Ensures support staff receives the appropriate training to effectively accomplish their jobs.
  • Conduct and or schedule staff meetings.
  • Foster positive attorney and staff relationships.
  • Interact with firm-wide supervisors, and their staff in various departments, to ensure efficiencies in the day-to-day operations of the office.
  • Work with Managing Partner to facilitate overall operation of the office.
  • Liaison between the firm's office and I.T. support team when experiencing an issue with technology
  • Organize office events, i.e. holiday luncheons, etc.
  • Send firm-wide emails with updates, etc.
  • Work with outside vendors to maintain relationships and updated materials

Salary:

· Commensurate with experience

· Monday – Friday: 35 hours/week

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook. Broad knowledge of legal specific programs preferred.
  • Experience working with ProLaw is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with others in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Demonstrate proficiency to focus on details, handle multiple tasks, and remain highly organized
  • Go above and beyond on simple requests to make things easier on others.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems is a plus
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor and positive communicator
  • Excellent typing skills and computer literacy, including a solid understanding Microsoft
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work
  • Pass basic background check
