Lead QA Test Analyst (C) Job at ECI - Sacramento
Estrada Consulting, Inc. is currently accepting resumes for a Lead QA Test Analyst for contract consulting services for a client in Sacramento, CA. Position will start in May-June. Three year contract.
Minimum Technical Qualifications:
At least seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years working as a Test Analyst with large organizations, leading or participating in the technical implementation of software/systems/applications automating complex business processes.
The total combined minimum of seven (7) years, must include at least one (1) or more years’ experience in each of the following:

The total combined minimum of seven (7) years, must include at least one (1) or more years’ experience in each of the following:
- Assessment of scope and tasks pertaining to software testing.
- Planning software testing tasks.
- Mapping of various business, user, and system requirements to test cases.
- Leading and/or working within cross-functional teams that include business subject matter experts, application architects, developers, and testers.
- Demonstratable experience in preparing test plans, test cases, documenting and reviewing test results.
- Demonstrable experience with regression testing and adjusting test plans for periodic maintenance releases
At least seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years performing testing activities within large organizations, leading or participating in the technical implementation of software/systems/applications automating complex business processes.
The total combined minimum of seven (7) years must include at least one (1) or more years’ experience in the performance of each of the following types of testing: (CalSTRS may request deliverable-related work samples during the Interview phase):
- System Testing
- Interface Testing
- Conversion Testing
- Parallel Testing
- Performance Testing
- User Acceptance Testing
At least three (3) years of experience within the last ten (10) years performing testing of legacy mainframe applications and participating in data validation activities (writing SQL queries to validate data between source and target) between existing legacy systems and the new system being implemented.
Desirable Technical Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of experience working as a Test Analyst using Job Control Language (JCL), PEEK and TSO.
- Three (3) or more years of experience working on defect-tracking tools such as (e.g. Jama, JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Experience as a Test Analyst leading or participating in the technical implementation of pension/retirement-related software development projects.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering fields from a government accredited/sanctioned college or university.

W2 contract rate DOE $50-$70 pending if doing W2 hourly or if Incorporated C2C.
Consultants are expected to work on-site at the client facility; however, the client may approve remote work under special circumstances (but not guaranteed until approved), and consultants must be well equipped with their own home office to perform the duties which include: internet, desk, chair, monitor, laptop/desktop, mouse, keyboard, phone, printer, and standard software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat / PDF Conversion, Security Virus Software for own computer/laptop, MS Project). If client has a specific tool(s) that is required to be used the client will provide. All work performed will be based on the client’s zip code and time schedule. California clients will be Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm PST.
