We are currently seeking a Lawn Care Specialist to work within the maintenance department. The Lawn Care Specialist will work independently in applying fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides, and specialized applications to customers’ lawns through the course of the growing season to ensure a healthy, vibrant lawn. The ability to scout, diagnose, and treat diseases in lawns as they arise will be important to the overall health of each property managed by the Lawn Care Specialist. Communication with customers on a continual basis will be needed to provide comprehensive information about their lawn and timing of applications.

Responsibilities:

• Blend products related to fertilizations, herbicides, pesticides, and specialized applications in the lawn
• Determine products needed and mechanical setting for each application
• Follow predetermined routes and record hours/materials used for each application
• Diagnose issues in the lawn outside of predetermined scope of work and treat if necessary
• Maintain and clean equipment on a daily basis
• Build a positive, committed team with employees and clients
• Analyze completed work during offseason and prepare contracts/materials for the coming season

Qualifications:

• 1-5 years lawn technician experience in the residential maintenance industry
• Bachelor’s degree, or extensive experience preferred in one or more of the following fields; horticulture, plant pathology, turf grass management, floral design, or greenhouse management
• Bilingual (English – Spanish) preferred
• Commercial pesticide applicator license preferred (willing to train)
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
