LANDSCAPE GARDENER | Seasonal (March – December)

Our company is seeking qualified individuals to become seasonal team members and perform the duties of a Landscape Gardener. Landscaper Gardeners are responsible for assisting our Fine Gardening Specialists with all aspects of garden maintenance on our client’s residential properties.

We are looking for growth-minded individuals who bring personal integrity, knowledge, and a positive mindset, when working with their team and our clients. Your job duties will include weeding, deadheading, pruning, mulching, edging, plant installations, transplanting, and even some tasks outside of your job description. Cudmore Curbscapes is a woman-owned landscaping company based in Freeport, Maine. We are a passionate team of landscape professionals that value our customers and their projects. Most of our work takes place in Freeport, Yarmouth, Cumberland, Falmouth, Portland, Brunswick, and Topsham. We deliver high quality finished products for each customer, and hold ourselves to a high expectation, both individually and as a team. Basic Qualifications:

• Kind and thoughtful. Collaborative and team-oriented.
• Growth-minded with the initiative to always learn
• Excellent Interpersonal communication skills
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a clean, valid Driver’s License*
• Must have a cellular phone
• Must have your own reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be able to work in all seasons and varying weather conditions

Job Specific Qualifications:

• Experience with physical work in landscaping or similar experience
• Knowledge of plants and shrubs (preferred)
• Experience planting, dividing, and moving perennials (preferred)
• Experience pruning shrubs and woody perennials (preferred)
• Weeding and general garden maintenance
• Experience Removing spent flowers and deadheading (preferred)
• Ability to drive a truck and truck-trailer combos (preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Duties:

• Arrives to work prepared and in the proper outdoor attire
• Responsible for having equipment and trucks fueled and loaded with equipment and

materials necessary to complete work assignment.

• Follows direction and carries out tasks assigned on each landscape project.
• Weeding and general garden maintenance as needed
• Assists with all plant installations as needed on a client-to-client basis
• Assists with all pruning tasks assigned
• Garden bed edging and mulching
• Seasonal planting of annuals and bulbs
• The ability to work within the scope of estimates for projects and assists in the execution of daily goals with the team to meet or beat project estimates
• Interacts with all clients, vendors, and other contractors in a friendly manner
• Completes the necessary paperwork including a personal timesheet, maintaining receipts, and tracking all relevant job information as necessary
• Responsible for reporting any important information from clients or vendors, regarding each project, to either the owner or lead gardener.
• Able to perform other duties outside of the listed job duties and qualifications
• Follow safety standards set by Cudmore Curbscapes and OSHA
