Junior Frontend Developer/Engineer Job at Publishers Clearing House
Publishers Clearing House (PCH) is looking for a Junior Front-end Developer/Engineer to build new and exciting web experiences for our users using modern front-end technologies. The Junior Front-end Developer/Engineer will help develop web applications, improve and enhance existing capabilities. The role will be responsible for UI/UX recommendations, some technical design, development, delivery, testing, and deployment of front-end code. The engineering team works in an agile model to deliver high-quality, cross-platform digital marketing experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Technical design and development – Responsible for the independent creation of technical solutions and design and delivering that solution through documentation and code
- Delivery, test, and deploy – This role is a member of an integrated agile team and will be the steward of their work product throughout all stages of the delivery process
- Provide level of effort estimates for emerging front-end development projects and capabilities
- Deliver strong UI/UX recommendations and alternatives based on the technical implications of such designs
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of full-time professional work experience in front-end focused web development (HTML, CSS, JS)
- 2+ years of front-end focused web development (HTML, CSS, JS).
- Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS
- Experience with build and automation tools
- Proficient with Photoshop and able to transform layered PSDs into code
- Experience in and passion for web development and design
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first design
- Some understanding of modern front-end and web programming languages – to include HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES6, task managers (Grunt, Gulp), etc.
- Some experience for executing in an agile development environment
- Regularly delivers unique, innovative, and efficient solutions to business and technical problems
- Passionate about technology, has a good sense of humor, is honest and extremely self-motivated
- Ability to juggle competing priorities and adapt to changes in project scope
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teammates
- Proven ability to deliver effective, on-time results from an established set of tasks

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified.
